Description

uFORM iFORM is a polyvalent logic of cognition, a transformative bridge between the natural sciences and the humanities, and it opens up an impressive horizon of application. We learn how we came to sign and speech, take a look into the mirror of our own cognitive performance, calculate with the Undetermined, see how decision systems are created, can compare processes in Turing machines and cellular automata with consciousness and communication processes, perform cycle analyses and much more.

… The boundaries between observer and reality, between system and environment are swirled, and we dive into the infinite game of infinite re-entry FORMs, infinite recursions. …
Gitta Peyn

Through the logical combination of system theory with complex systems theory and automata theory, Ralf Peyn creates the possibility to visualize and analyze systemic behavior and takes us deep into the rabbit hole of our world construction.

The work, conceived as an eBook, enables users to zoom in on graphics and illustrations, jump quickly in the book, bookmark and comment on their own comments. With animations, further explanations and SelFis and Crazy Machines, this website invites you to work with uFORM iFORM without any worries. If you follow our reading tips you will find context information on the topics covered in the book.

… By orienting ourselves on decisions in Undetermined, we create new Undetermined in our decision-making systems. …
uFORM iFORM, Ralf Peyn

For those who want to delve deeper into the matter, there is a series of articles on „How does System function/operate“ by Gitta Peyn on her blog systemzeit .

Applications

Like FORMWELT, uFORM iFORM also comes with a large application frame. Some possibilities are:

  • Generation of own FORMS
  • Analysis of systems with SelFis:
    • Fractal cognitive processes
    • Communication flow processes and communication types
    • (Conflict) cycles
    • Contingency formation
    • Occurance of emergence
  • Discussion of:
    • Connections | Similarities of scientific and humanistic findings | Phenomena (e.g. perspective comparison neuroinformatics | systemics with constructivism)
    • Possible applications in science and industry
    • Artificial Intelligence & Robotics

Animations

3D animations illustrate the transformation of the FORM. Here we provide you with animations and a form-generator.

If you have created your own visualizations/animations for forms, we would be pleased to receive them for viewing. We publish interesting and creative works: contact@uformiform.info.

SelFis

Since the book can only present snapshots of the SelFis, we have compiled a collection of SelFis for dedicated readers of uFORM iFORM who want to delve deeper into an understanding of SelFi evolution, which you can run as programs on your computer. With them you can explore the systems alive.

If you are also looking for an elaborate tool to help you construct SelFis and study it with scientific precision, you should use selftest .

Download the uFormiFormSelfis software package here. The package is not freeware. You can use it for personal non-profit purposes. If it supports your own research and development, take the opportunity to support our work with your donation before downloading.

(For those who do not yet know the book uFORM iFORM by Ralf Peyn, we would like to point out that FORMWELT is not based on the Laws of Form from George Spencer-Brown, but on its own logic of cognition. uFORM iFORM is the result of a discussion about a problem occurring in the Laws of Form.)
